Community Service Projects - Snehagramam
Rotary club of Cochin Downtown is taking up its Centennial project at Moolampally Village which supports over 300 families. Moolampally Island is just a stone’s throw from the mainland of Cochin. Yet, it seems like a remote under-developed village too far from the nearby city. Rotary Club of Cochin Downtown focussed entirely on this village – to improve the quality of lives of those who live there. As a result of the sincere efforts put in by the members, the RVC and the Probus Club were formed at Moolampally. This project envisages setting up a Clinic, providing Sanitation facilities and setting up multiple Rainwater Harvesting units.

There were various Community service projects conducted at Karrikkattuthuruthu island in Kochukadamakudy during the year. In July, street lights were donated in an impressive function inaugurated by DGN Rtn Babu Joseph.

A Dental camp for providing dentures was conducted at Karikkattuthuruthu in association with the Indian Dental Association of Kochi. Around 100 patients benefited from this program. As a follow up to this program, dentures will be provided to 12 identified deserving patients during the visit of the Governor.
